This paper describes the study of polyphosphoric acid (PPA) and polyphosphates, which were prepared on the basis of P4O10 (phosphorus (V) oxide). The 31PNMR spectra have shown that the P-atoms are covalently bonded to oxides in form of polyphosphoric acids and in condensed phosphates. The phosphoric acid (PA) and its crystalline hydrates have tetrahedral PO4 groups, consisting three dimensional strongly hydrogen bonded array. The complex mixture of phosphates anions can be obtained are separated by the using of ion-exchange or chromatographic procedure, respectively.
