Indian Judiciary is playing a significant role in maintaining sustainable development and curbing the reckless growth of industrialization by numeral public and private agencies without giving least consideration to irreparable damage accrued to natural environment essential to maintain healthy flora and fauna on the planet in general and India in particular. Present paper deals with the various kinds of pollutions resulting from irrational industrialization and the role of Indian Judiciary in maintaing sustainable development along with social needs of industrialization.
