Abstract

Justice is a major concept in political and social philosophy. It is such an important issue of modern world that no one would like to be called unjust, no society would like to be called unjust, no state also. Therefore it is important that there should be general agreement on the meaning of justice and only on that basis we can discuss what principle may be accepted as an appropriate principle of justice. In this paper author has dealt with utilitarian principle for social justice and has tried to evaluate how far it would be acceptable for social justice.
