Pramanyavad is the backbone of Indian Philosophy. It is broadly defined by its two terms i.e. Prama and Aprama. Prama is a real experience and Aprama is an unreal experience. but these are very basic definitions of Prama and Aprama. In Indian Philosophy there are thousands of pages that have been written on Pramanyavad. If we know the definition of Pramanyavad of any Philosopher then we can very well know the tenets of his Philosophy and the logic behind the same. There is lot of debate in Indian Philosophy on Pramanya and Apramanya among great Philosopheres. Still, there are some unanswered questions about Pramanyavad, Prama and Aprama. We have yet to arrive at consensus among all the existing Philosophies of Pramanyavad acceptable to most of us.
