Globalisation is a plural phenomenon. There are four major approaches to analyse globalisation but in Indian context the global-culture approach is much relevant. In this paper an attempt is made to systematize the effects of global culture on local culture and vice-versa. Issues of resilience of local culture have been also discussed.
