Abstract

The legal profession is new concept given by the British to India. This continuously growing concept has seen many ups and down in its history of more than 250 yrs. But this profession was dominated mainly by men. From second decade of century women started to taking up the profession. This attempt of women in India succeeded in 1922. In the last 90 years women have made continuous progress keeping themselves committed to profession. There growing number in the profession their testimony to it. Uttar Pradesh is the state with largest population in India. Here women have entered in the profession taking it as a challenge. The present research paper is an attempt to study this aspect.
