Rhizobacteria from field-grown mungbean: isolation and identification

Abstract

In the present study bacteria belonging to genera Bacillus, Enterobacter and Pseudomonas (both fluorescent and non-fluorescent) as the dominant bacterial classes in the rhizosphere, rhizoplane and endorhizosphere of healthy field grown mungbean-p!ants comprising about 90% of the total population is reported. Klebsiella and Proteus were also present in low numbers (1. 7 and 3.3% respectively).
