A study was conducted during late kharif 1996 and 1997 under rainfed condition for the control of powder mildew disease of horsegram using Bavistin (0.1%), Calixin (O.05%), Karathane (0.2%) and Wettable sulphur (0.3%) fungicides, applied as foliar sprays. First spray was done at initial appearance of the disease and the second spray was given 12 days after the first spray. All the fungicides were quite effective in checking the disease. Maximum disease control was achieved with Calixin, followed by Karathane, Bavistin and Wettable sulphur. The cost: Benefit ratio was found higher with Calixin followed by Wettable sulphur, Bavistin and Karathane.
