A field experiment was conducted during kharif seasons of 1991 and 1992 to study the performance of medium duration pigeonpea lines against wilt and sterility mosaic diseases. Based on the least disease incidence and higher yield, ‘MD- 9103’, ‘MD- 9109’ and ‘MD- 9110’ lines performed better among which ‘MD- 9110’ was the best. Irrespective of yield potentiality, ‘KAS-I’ and ‘MD- 9109’ were absolutely free from these two disease in both the years.
