Three genotypes of soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill.] were evaluated for seed quality as affected by different time of harvesting. The studied revealed that the physiological maturity was associated with 20% green, 77% yellow/pale yellow and 2–3% dry leaves, 23.66% green pods and 91.33% yellow and pale yellow seeds and only 8.66% green seed. Seeds moisture content at this stage was 33–34%. The seed collected at the time of physiological maturity were found to be high in germination than those collected from prior and after physiological maturity. Delayed harvesting badly affect the seed quality due to seed subjected to field weathering under high atmospheric humidity and pod shattering in the field, as seed moisture content reduced down to 13%.
