Abstract

Two hundred germplasm lines of mungbean obtained from NBPGR, Amravati centre along with 6 commercial checks of mungbean were evaluated over four diverse environments to identify stable genotypes for 100-seed weight. Variance due to genotype, environment and genotype x environment interaction were found to be significant. Variance due to environment + (genotype x environment), environment (linear) and pooled deviation were significant. Mean sum of square due to genotype x environment (linear) was also significant. On the basis of stability analysis genotypes viz., 169, 126,98,42, 63, 70, 74, 174, 106, 164, 93, 138, 16, 38, 66, 60 and 59 having above average stability with higher mean value were identified which will be useful in the development of stability and high yielding varieties.
