Abstract

Studies on fertilization and liming effect on hardseedness in greengram cv. AAU 34 revealed significant variation for hard seed yield. Liming resulted 21.81 and 31.95 per cent increase in hard seed production over non--liming during kharif and summer respectivley. A prominent effect on variation of hard seed production by different fertilizations were recorded with liming than without liming. Fertilization as 10-35-10 kg/ha N-P2O5,-K2O along with organic matter and Rhizobium inoculation resuited least production of hard seed whereas micronutrient sprays at flowering and pod formdtion stage with the same fertilization except K2O resulted maximum hard seed production in both the seasons.
