Abstract

The efficacy to some indigenously available phyto extracts, commercial phyto products, animal prod~cts, microbial insecticides and synthetic insecticides Le. monocrotophos (0.04%) alone and in combination with half dose of later, was tested during 1998–99 against borer complex to pre-rabi pigeonpea which gave some useful and effective influence. All the treatments, under test significantly reduced the population of larvae. However, Dipel 8L in combination with monocrotophos (0.02%) and (0.04%) alone were found to be highly superior over all the treatments causing 80.7 and 74.6 per cent mortality, respectively. Other treatments deserved moderately effective.
