The field bean variety. Hebbal Avare -3 (H.A. -3) flowered in 58-days and reached its physiological maturity in 90 days after sowing. The seed development period was 27 days. The 100 seed weight was 9.2g at seed moisture content of 9.0 per cent. The germination percentage (18 to 97.2%) of the developing seeds progressively increased from 20 -34 days from anthesis. The developing seeds reached their physiological maturity around 35 days from arltftesis or 94 days from sowing, since the dry weight of the seed. germination percentage and vigour index were highest.
