The study was under taken to measure genetic diversity among 160 genotypes of lentil (Lens culinaris Medik.) for 7 characters. The non-hierarchical Euclidean cluster analysis grouped 160 genotypes in to six distinct clusters indicating existence of considerable genetic diversity in the germplasm collections. The six cluster in divergence analysis contained genotype of heterogenous origin, thereby indicating no parallel between genetic and geographic diversity. Therefore, crosses between the members of cluster separated by high inter-duster distances, such as cluster VI with III, V, II and I are likely to throw desirable segregates.
