Abstract

Field experiments were conducted under AICRP on Arid Legumes during rabi seasons 2000–2002. Three years mean data revealed that thiourea application has significant influence on horse gram productivity. Soaking of horse gram seeds in 500 ppm thiourea followed by two sprayings of thiourea (500 ppm) one at vegetative and one at flowering stage proved most effective and increased the seed yield of horse gram by 57.88%. This treatment was proven economically beneficial as it gave additional net return of Rs. 2271 compared to control.
