Chickpea wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceri is most destructive and widely distributed disease in India and cause severe losses in yield. Therefore the present investigations were undertaken to screen different genotypes for their resistance to fusarium wilt. A field screening of chickpea varieties (50 + 1 susceptible check, JG-62) was undertaken in wilt sick plot during rabi season of 1999–2000 and 2000–2001. Of the 50 genotypes tested 39 were found resistant, 9 moderately resistant, 1 moderately susceptible and 1 highly susceptible to fusarium wilt. The genotypes Phule G-97311, Phule G-96325 and Phule G-97315 were completely free from the wilt disease.
