Abstract

Sixteen diverse soybean genotypes were evaluated for stability for seed protein content, oil content and grain yield per plant in five different environments during 2001–2002. Mean sum of squares due to genotypes and environment (linear) were significant. Non-linear components of Genotype × Environment were significant for all traits. The genotypes JS 335, JS (SH) 93–37, NRC 51 and LSb 1 for seed protein content, the genotypes PK 1029, DSb 1, JS 335 NRC 51 for oil content and the genotypes JS 335, TS 99–76 and DSb 1 were found stable genotypes for seed yield with significantly high mean over environments.
