Abstract

Studies carried out with blackgram cv. Co.5 to find out the suitable presowing soaking treatment of seeds for obtaining higher yield of quality seeds. The combi-chemicals would enhance the field emergence and maintained higher field stand at harvest. Ascorbic acid would enable the plants to reach 50 per cent flowering phase early and produce more of large-sized seeds of high vigour. Manganese sulphate would enhance the seed weight per plant; and Sodium molybdate would enhance the germinability of the resulting seeds.
