Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the effect of different source and level of phosphorus with and without pressmud and phosphorus solubilizing microorganisms on nodulation, pod, haulm yield and quality of summer groundnut crop during summer seasons of 2002 and 2003 at Navsari. Number and dry weight of root nodule per plant increased significantly upto 90 days after sowing and thereafter decreased. Single super phosphate perform better than diammonium phosphate. The protein content in kernel was significantly affected due to phosphorus treatments. Oil content in kernel was not affected due to different treatments. Application of 15 kg P from SSP along with 5 t pressmud and 2.5 kg PSM per hectare significantly increase the number and weight of root nodule per plant, pod, haulm yield and protein content in kernel.
