Abstract

A pot culture experiment was conducted to study the effect of micronutrient supplemented Bradyrhizobium biofertilizers on nodulation, dry matter production and yield of soybean (Glycine max). Seed treatment of different micronutrients (Zinc, Iron and molybdenum) as individual and in combination (Zn+Mo, Fe+Mo and Zn+Fe+Mo) each @75 ppm and Bradyrhizobium japonicum strains (SB-120 and USDA24M1) were used for the present study. The results indicated that, a significant increase in the nodule number, nodule dry weight and nodule N content was noticed due to seed treatment of B. japonicum strains along with the combination of zinc and molybdenum. Whereas significantly higher dry matter production and yield were noticed due to inoculation of B. japonicum along with combination of zinc, iron and molybdenum as against inoculated and uninoculated control.
