An experiment conducted for five years i.e., from Kharif 2000 to Kharif 2004 to study the impact of tillage practice on soil health and crop production. The results revealed that, type of tillage practice has no effect on yield and yield attributes of groundnut but nutrient source was found significant on pod yield for three years out of five years. Organic carbon built up and increase in available potassium in the soil was observed when 100% recommended dose of nutrients were applied through organic source. Increase in soil available phosphorus (142 kg/ha) noticed from the initial level (46.9 kg/ha) with recommended dose of nutrients applied through inorganics. Soil bulk density was influenced neither by tillage practice nor nutrient source.
