A field experiment was conducted during rabi, 2004 on sandy loam soils to study the response of chickpea to irrigation and nutrient management practices. Results revealed that growth and yield of chickpea was highest with four irrigations scheduled at sowing, branching, flowering and pod filling stages. Among the nutrient management practices, 100 per cent recommended dose of N and P + Rhizobium + PSB has resulted in higher growth, yield attributes and yield of chickpea. Interaction between irrigation and nutrient management practices was significant with respect to yield.
