Abstract

Six insecticides, viz. Formaldehyde, Carbofuran, Thimet @ 1%, 10 kg/ac and 3 kg/ac respectively were applied as soil fumigation/soil application, whereas Monocil, Ekalux and Chlorpyriphos were sprayed @ 500 ml, 750 ml and 1000 ml per acre, respectively for the control of pea stem fly. Thimet and carbofuran proved to be the most effective for decreasing the plant mortality and increasing the crop yield.
