Abstract

The results of the pre-storage chemical impregnation of seeds revealed that those impregnated with (i) the combi-chemicals could retard the deterioration of seeds in storage and maintain their vigour and germinability with minimum loss for fifteen months due to chronological ageing and (ii) ascorbic acid and potassium sulphate would promote, respectively the growth of the root and shoot in the emerging seedlings.
