Abstract

Pot trails was conducted during kharif 2002–03 with a view to study the effect of K on groundnut (CV GG-2) yield under different level of sodicity. The pod (17.62 to 3.48 g pot−1) and haulm (33.15 to 8.33 g pot−1) yields decreased significantly with sodicity levels E4. The decrease in pod and haulm yields were upto 406 and 275 per cent, respectively, at highest sodicity level (ESP 60). Application of 100 kg K2O ha−1 significantly increased the pod (13.15 g pot−1) and haulm (24.23g pot−1) yields to the tune of 60.56 and 44.05 per cent. K × S interaction found to be significant and treatment combination E1K4 gave significantly highest pod (20.57 g pot−1) and haulm (36.67 g pot−1) yield as compared to E4K1.
