An attempt conducted to know the genetic merits of 34 kabuli chickpea genotypes based on linear combination of quality traits. The results revealed that genotypes KAK 2, CSJK 21, BG 1053, GLK 22094, JSC 19 exhibited high index value for quality traits, where as an overall observations of selection criteria (both varietal indices and per se performance basis) genotypes GLK 22094, CSJK 21 appeared promising genotypes based on their phenotypic and genetic merits performance.
