A field experiment was conducted to screening of black gram varieties for resistance against pink pod borer, Cydia ptychora (Meyrick) at Junagadh Agricultural University campus, Junagadh (Gujarat) during kharif season of 2008. Among the ten varieties screened, SKNU-03-03 was found least susceptible as it recorded minimum larval population (0.42 larvae per plant), minimum damage to pods (1.98%) and grains (1.97%). The varieties SKNU-03-08, SKNU-9915 and SKNU-05-06 were highly susceptible which harbored 2.49 to 3.13 larvae per plant, 6.91 to 8.04 per cent pod damage and 6.48 to 7.66 per cent grain damage, respectively.
