Foliar spray of humic acid with growth regulators in nutrient content and yield of greengram [Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek]

Department of Crop Physiology, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore-641 001, India

Abstract

Experiment was conducted to find out nutrient uptake of greengram variety CO6 during vegetative and reproductive growth stages under growth regulators treatments. The experiment was conducted by adopting randomized block design with three replications. Chosen treatments were imposed at peak vegetative stage (25 DAS) and ten days after the first foliar spray (35 DAS). Investigations were undertaken to document the effect of foliar spray of chemicals and bioregulators viz., DAP, ZnSO4, FeSO4, boric acid, ammonium molybdate, urea, brassinosteroid, benzyl adenine, salicylic acid and naphthalene acetic acid on greengram variety CO6. Uptake of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and yield was enhanced by 0.1% humic acid with 0.1 ppm brassinosteroid followed by 0.1% humic acid with 10 ppm Benzyl Adenine spray.
