Fungi, one of the largest groups of organism of the globe are cosmopolitan in distribution with a wide range of tolerance in almost all kinds of habitat. Mushroom cultivation in India is of recent origin and it was in 1961 when ICAR funded a scheme on button mushroom cultivation technology at Solan which led to the establishment of a UNDP project with FAO experts. This paperwork is carried out to see the effect of different supplements on Pleurotus yield for which we used paddy straw as a substrate and it is supplemented with using four different supplements such as nitrogenous plant Bauhinia variegata, soybean meal and urea.
