The present paper makes a comprehensive review of literature related to the construct of organizational culture. Organizational culture has been an explanatory variable for quite a few organizational outcomes and is viewed as the most important element in explaining a host of psychological, attitudinal, and organizational-level variables that define the way in which individuals, groups, and organizations behave in the context of their immediate environment. The paper aims at collating and bringing together the past, present, and emergent issues related to organizational culture that shall help future researchers in finding the scope for their research for empirical and/or theoretical studies.
