This study was carried out to analyse the linguistic creativity of newspaper headlines in India. The study revealed that political news continued to dominate the creative headlines whereas agriculture news' share was negligible. The newspapers having biggest circulations were frontrunner in creative headlines too. All newspapers under study accord a decent, easily recognisable and high OTS (opportunity to see) status to such headlines on most important pages.
