This paper is an attempt to explore the role of Minorities’ Press of Pakistan during President Musharraf's regime (October 1999-December 2006) in covering the political issues of Pakistan which is considered to be the era of constitutional amendments and foreign pressures in the editorials and articles. The paper intends to examine that whether the Minorities'Press in Pakistan played an independent, free and responsible role regarding the political issues of Pakistan during the selected regime? Whether the press had performed its duties by discussing the various dimensions of the selected issue or not? The political scenario of the country during Musharraf regime has been focused in the study. This research intends to gauge the ‘Media Agenda’ of the minorities in Pakistan. It intends to look into the priorities and frequency of the coverage of selected issues by the minorities press. These considerations are based on the theoretical perspective of the “Libertarian Theory of the Press” and “Theory of Agenda Setting”.
