Newspaper reading/non-reading habits of economically Weaker Women in Karnataka

Abstract

The research study was conducted to know about the usefulness of reading/non-reading habits of Newspapers of EWS Women in Karnataka. Based on the data collected from 1800 women through survey method of research, the study identifies the general characteristics of the population, newspaper reading habits of women, preferred place for reading newspapers, categories of newspapers read, list of daily newspapers read by them, purpose of reading newspapers, newspapers as an information supporting agency and their usefulness.
