Brand preferences of smart phone users in Tamil Nadu state of India

Abstract

The main aim of this research paper is to analyse the brand preference of smartphone users, factors affecting the brand preference and the problems faced by the smartphone users in Gobichettipalayam town in Tamilnadu state of India. About 120 smartphone users were selected by applying Non-Probabilistic convenience sampling technique. Statistical tools such as Simple percentage analysis and Garrett Ranking analysis were employed for analysis. Findings show that Samsung is the most preferred smartphone brand. It also establishes that poor battery Life, heat problem and higher price are the major problems faced by the smartphone users in the study area.
