In present scenario the deviant behavior of employees in organizations has become a serious concern in human resources management. There is growing interest among researchers concerning the causes and consequences of deviant workplace behaviors. This study explores the effect of high performance work systems (HPWS) on employee deviant behaviors in selected IT organizations. For measuring the influence of high performance work system on employee deviant behavior a sample of 150 IT employees have been selected for getting responses by using a structured questionnaire. Statistical techniques like correlation, multiple regression and linear regression is performed with the help of SPSS software to analyze the collected data. It was found that high performance work systems have a strong negative influence on employee withdrawal behaviors. The present paper is divided into six sections wherein the first section consists of a brief introduction of the variables under study. The second section of the paper covers the review of literature which consists research studies of high performance work system and employee deviant behavior. Third section comprises of research methodology which includes the formulated hypotheses, data collection and sampling. The fourth section consists of data analysis and interpretation and the fifth section covers the findings and discussions of the study. The conclusion and implications have been included in the last section of the research paper.
