Abstract

"Economies are bouncing back. Rising commodity prices, booming equity market and interest-rate differentials have seen capital inflows in to some countries going sharply" commented by the experts. These are the pleasant indications that the world Economies are coming out of the recession grip. Certainly current global recession was the worst economic crisis which started from United State of Americain 2007 and further transmitted globally. The immediate impact faced by US when the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers publically signaled the advent of financial crisis. Such trend of financial hardships follows across the globe by the Companies. The world has experienced great economic depression in 1981–82 and the said recession was lasted sixteen months. The overall worst impact of the economic down turn has been significantly experienced by the corporate world globally. This paper deals with the general problems related to manpower faced by the Indian companies during recession period. It also discusses about the role of Human Resource Management significantly to overcome the recession hardships.
