E-BUSINESS STRATEGIES TOWARDS MANAGING TURNAROUNDS IN THE GLOBAL ECONOMY

Abstract

The business world and society have changed very much due to the information technology and impact of internet. On emergent of internet today is becoming essential for every business activity. Moreover, at the beginning, No one thought that the internet will be a source for conducting business. It is estimated that 288 million people are using online for conducting business. And as result it has been observed that E-business had a great effect on the development of global economy in developing countries. Small firms are gaining more profits by using e-business for making transactions with the clients. By utilizing ICTs facilities to maximum, they can reduce the transaction costs to maximum. This reduction will encourage the firms to extend the number of transactions they conduct across both organizational and geographical boundaries. The business world often uses the terms “business recovery plan” and “disasters recovery plan” interchangeably. In either case, this plan should ensure our day to day's business survival when disasters strike. This may be in the form of a natural disaster such as hurricane, fire or flood; on the other hand it may be financial disaster. Poor business decision, a down-turn in the economy, embezzlement by an employee or dishonest corporate partners can also wreak havoc on business. A business recovery plan can be gauged to rescue at the time when it is going to end. The proceeding discussion deals with how e-Business has been an icon of the day taken into leaf turnaround strategies.
