Abstract

Transformational leadership that motivates followers to ignore self interests and work for the larger good of organization to achieve significant accomplishments; Emphasis is on articulating a vision that will convince subordinates to make major changes. Transformational leadership has a significant effect on how employee views their organizational responsibility, their cognitive styles and listening skill. With increasing globalization, a greater knowledge of transformational leadership and its effect in service sector can be beneficial for practicing leaders and decision makers. Our worlds today witness the unprecedented explosion of information and interaction with one another. Effective administration of an organization depends rather entirely ability to listenc orrectly. This paper attempts to study the relationship of the transformational leadership with cognitive styles and inter-personal listening skill among the principals of schools In Jharkhand one hundred thirty five school principals participated completing the questionnaires the study reveals that transformational leadership expert its effect on constructive cognitive style and listening skill.
