Abstract

In this study an attempt has been made to derive a linear regression equation for estimation of stature from the length of head. The stature (i.e crown heel length) was measured with the help of an anthropometer. Length of head was measured between Glabella and Inion (point of maximum convexity on external occipital protuberance) with the spreading caliper. The study was carried out on 300 males and 300 females. The observed data was subjected to statistical analysis like ‘t’ test for correlation coefficient. The value of ‘t’ was found to be statistically significant.simple linear regression equation derived can be used for estimation of height. However if multiple regression equations are used the height can be better estimated
