Facial prosthetics often plays a life changing role in patients who have lost an eye, ear, nose or sustained damage to the intraoral structures. Road traffic and occupational accidents, burns, head and neck cancer and congenital defects are the most common reasons for full or partial loss of these structures. Facial defects lead to functional and cosmetic deficiencies. These defects can be reconstructed surgically and/or prosthetically depending on the location and size of the defect. The success in prosthetic rehabilitation includes proper selection of materials, esthetics and retention qualities. Author report a case of post traumatic partial nasal defect, where rehabilitation with silicone partial nasal prosthesis was employed successfully.
