The problem of poisoning is a tough challenge to the treating physician, and the numbers are rising due to easy availability of variety of chemicals. So, we designed a study to know the current trends in fatal poisoning in Vadodara region of Gujarat. So that it can be used in future to form some preventive strategy. Total 281 such cases out of a total number of 2084 autopsies during a 1 year period i.e. from 14th September 2011 to 13th September 2012 were taken. And results compared with the previous studies. Some perplexing results were found like, most of the victims (80.1%) were from rural area & maximum victim were married (65.1%).
