Autopsy Study of Pattern of Head Injuries Sustained by Motorcyclists in Fatal Road Traffic Accidents

Abstract

Death due to RTA in any population constitutes both social and economic loss to family and society. We aimed to study, Pattern of fatal traumatic head injuries occurring in motor cyclists due to RTA.

A cross sectional study of total 336 cases of motorcyclist's who died due to fatal road traffic accidents brought to Victoria hospital mortuary for post mortem examination.

The result of this study enables a health care personal to predict fracture and site of injury.
