Odontogenic cysts and tumours are often found occurring together at the time of microscopic examination of lesions and leading to embroiling discussion of co-existence, fusion, transformation and hybrid lesions. There are always persistent theories attempting to explain these lesion's biologic behavior and its pathogenesis whenever they present themselves.
The present paper attempts to review these concepts envisaging the etiopathogenesis and clinical behavior and treatment thereon of such mixed lesions so as to remove the controversies attached to them.
