Abstract

Worldwide, violence is becoming an urgent challenge and a major economic, social, health, and governance issue. Determining the risk factors of violence will be helpful to prevent violence at the commencement, or at least be in a position to punish, treat, or rehabilitate those identified as violent offenders. This study shows that in rural area enmity type violence is the most common type of violence which accounts for 37.5% of cases but in urban area youth type of violence is the commonest type of violence accounts for 45.5% of cases. And among youth main cause of violence is money & love affairs accounting for 25.4% each. Among the enmity type of violence most common cause is land approximated 75.6% of cases.
