Various methods has been postulated to estimate the age of skeletonised remains which is a very essential aspect in forensic medicine. Mc Kern and Stewart formulated three component system of age estimation in pubic bones. Component I, II and III were based on development of dorsal half, ventral half and outline of the pubic symphysis respectively. A total of 300 pubic bones were evaluated of which 225 were male send 75 were females. Each pubic bone was given a score based on Mc Kern and Stewart method. The observation were tabulated according to the Mc Kern Stewart score. Suitable adjustments in the age range should be made in the Mc Kern and Stewart method for using it in different population
