Normal organ weights are important to us as they can hint at pathological changes occurring in organs besides establishing relationship of trauma and disease. Various races and regions of the world will have different organ weights. Indian data of organ weights of healthy adults is scanty. An effort has been made to deduce the average organ weights of Indian adults by combining the earlier study of the authors with the recent studies carried out in India by other authors.
