Medical Boards are held in hospitals to elicit the expert opinion of a panel of doctors on the medical condition(s) of individual(s), which may or may not have legal connotations. Are these boards really necessary? Must they be thrust upon doctors or do they have a choice in the matter? Can a system be worked out so that they may be less disruptive to the practice of medicine?
