In previous studies, diagnostic methods for ‘Candidatus Phytoplasma phoenicium’ and peach latent mosaic viroid (PLMVd) were verified, allowing to detect these pathogens in planting material with high efficiency. In the present study, the best diagnostic methods tested were applied to control the planting material of samples from 124 stone fruit trees of domestic and imported origin collected during monitoring at All-Russian Plant Quarantine Center. PLMVd was detected in several samples of peach fruits of foreign origin. However, all samples of domestic origin tested free from both ‘Ca. P. phoenicium’ and PLMVd, confirming the official notification of National Plant Protection Organization of the Russian Federation.
