Abstract

A Bengali mystic and artist, Rabindranath Tagore also known as sobriquet Gurudev was a great poet, philosopher, music composer, and a leader of Brahmo Samaj; who stood as an ambassador of Indian culture and tradition to the whole world. While communicating the exuberance of humanism in this mechanised world, he thereby became a voice of the nation – whose ‘music resounds in all the music of this world’ [Kripalani 11].
